If your TikTok feed is anything like mine, it is dotted with clips of women giving us tips on how to enjoy Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tour—how to dress for it, how to take good photos of it, how to shoot good video at it. For me, I’d enjoy it more if I had tickets.
For those of us who can’t see the tour, here’s the set list from the opening night in Glendale, Arizona. Part of the “Eras” concept is that Swift played material from each section of her career, and kept the music from it together. She played music from each album, but she played all the songs from each album together rather than mixing them up. That wouldn’t have been my choice since I like hearing music from different phases in an artist’s career juxtaposed together, and in this case it meant ending with songs from Midnights closing the show instead of Swift’s most beloved songs.
I’ve organized this playlist to follow the original set list, but when I listen to it, I listen to it on shuffle. Fortunately, it’s 44 songs’ long, so it’s a good road mix with the summer coming. Technically, the playlist is one song longer than the show, where she segued from folklore’s “August” into “Illicit Affairs.” They’re both here in the full length.
